What the Paralympic athletes taught me

5 September was the last day of Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

I have never enthusiastically watched Paralympic Games so much like this time in my life. While watching lots of Paralympic games, I was so impressed by the athletes many times. They taught me how important to live with their passion and encouraged me to mull over my future life.

I do not have severe physical disabilities affecting my life so much but my hearing ability is slightly lower than general people’s one. This is because, since I was a child, I have had a chronic disease in my left ear.

Looking back to my University life in 2 to 3 grade, I had had a lot of bad(negative) days due to that severe symptom until I got surgery when I was 21 years old. I did something wrong to my friends coming from the stress and actually would lose some friends at that time.

Although my experience might not be able to be compared with athletes’ but I could understand their feelings and positions slightly. I am extremely respectful towards the Paralympic athletes even though they were not able to get Paralympic medals.

We all are equal. It does not matter we have hands or not, legs or not, and on top of this, we have clear eyesight or poor eyesight.

People look beautiful if they are doing anything to come true.

I also would like to keep on doing something for what I believe.

Hi there! I'm Taka. I'm Japanese and living in Japan. I would like to emigrate to New Zealand in 7 years with my foreign partner because I have the experience that Kiwi helped and saved me when I had a serious accident there in 2017. In this blog, I write the process of my life until I emigrate to NZ or more. I work as IT Engineer(Server-side Engineer) and Blogger. Super welcome to contact me, anyone:) Nice to meet you. #Overseas-Emigration #Adress-Hopper
