Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 are coming to the last stage. Today, I am talking about what I learned in this term.
This Olympic is probably the one I have been enthusiastic about the most in my life in terms of that I have seen many sports and games. I watched some games, Judo, Cycling(Road Race, BMX etc), Aquatics, Tennis, Table Tennis, Water Polo, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Sailing, Volleyball even though there were not Japanese team in the games.
When I was a child and a student in Uni, I watched the Olympic games but I just watched. I mean, I did want to know the result only. I did not imagine how the athletes are feeling and what they are thinking about while playing.
At this time, I was not as I used to be. I tried to think about their feeling and their lives so far. Of course, they were just my imagination so I can never know the truth. However, because of this, I was able to be more excited about the games.
Some athletes participated in the Olympics for not only themselves or family but also their rivals who were not able to get the right to Tokyo Olympic.
There are only three medalists in each kind, while there are a lot of losers in the world. The medalists have been taking much time and tremendous practice to get the medals. Some got medals even though they got accidents in the games. No one could get an Olympic medal easily with less practice, no one. On the other hand, most Olympians or athletes can not be medalists in national games in their entire lives even though they practised a lot, it could be more than the medalists did.
So are not they great? Yes, they are. they are fantastic. Their play might not be broadcast on TV so much, but they did their best. They absolutely made an impact on people. They probably got medals in some games, even if they were not the Olympics.
Our lives would be similar. Most people could not have got awards for their jobs, but what they did would be helpful for somebody. Everybody is great so we should be doing our best for our future.
If we believe that we would succeed in the future keeping our endeavour, we would get "The Gold medal" in our team or department or even industry. This is because all medalists had a time when they had not been known at all.
