Cook Islands' Recent Travel in New Zealand. How about Japan?

Today's article is this; Rarotonga bubble: Cook Islands stop shrinking two weeks on

It has been more than one year since the whole world started to suffer from COVID-19. Many people are still putting up with the situation that they can not travel any where even in local. We are not completely out of the woods.

However, in some places, the governments finally allowed local people to travel with quarantine-free under the several conditions. One example is Cook Islands in New Zealand. You will know their situations by reading the article.

It will be a fair way to get rid of our anxiety and tend to local businesses' problems. We, nevertheless, might be able to see the signs of recovery slightly. I am feeling rather positive for the fact.

How about Japan?

It is obviously that Japanese also have patience.

The discussion about the possibility of holding the Olympic and Paralympic games has not finished yet. For that reason, some prefectures in Japan, such as Tokyo and Osaka, has been under the state of emergency. It has been almost 2months and will be 3 months soon so we basically are not allowed to travel.

The government postponed this statement twice(or more, I do not remember it any more.) in order not to spreading corona virus. The state of emergency does not have the strict legal force so we can go out and travel as well if you want but most of us do not. I am proud of this national character.

I actually belong to travel industry and work at travel agent. The whole travel industry is struggling with this severe situation like the eternal swamp. The travel agencies can not put any advertisements encouraging people to go out. The restaurants serving alcohol and the shopping moles where lots of people gather might be same. They can not be opened at night and serve alcohol even in lunch time. We need the scientific explanation but they do not do that.

I personally do not agree with the Japanese government recent strategies for COVID-19. I understand how difficult to deal with it but I do not feel the sense of responsibilities from them. The government just postpones the state of emergency. I do not know what they have done for citizens.

I do not say about the government here any more. haha

Anyway, I am so fed up with that people can not meet their friends and colleagues. I hope we live as we used to.
